i was wondering if any one knows if reducing set bushes can be used on gas pipes . i am talking about the 15-10 brass ones that sometimes come with radiator valves can these be used in a comp coupler on gas .

It's part of the compression fitting range so I don't see why not. If it can hold back 7bar water I guess it'll do okay with 20mbar gas! I personally prefer to use a soldered 15 to 10 reducer, bit more permanent yeh?
 
where necessary its best practice to reduce the chance of any leaks occuring in the installation, i.e soldered joints over compression.


but I don't see why you can't use them.
 
I bought this up when doing my assessments not the last time, the time before.
We were told they weren't fit for use on gas.
 
they're designed for water only, and im not sure they even have a british standard, which every gas fitting must have
