As I said before and as @Riley said above. Hand tight and an extra half a turn. You will probably need to cut the olive and use a new one.
This was only after the leak after hand tight and an extra turnQuite possibly he’s over tightened them if he’s used all his strength. These fittings are meant to be just nipped up not strangled to within an inch of their lives.
If the olive has damaged the pipe then new pipe no PTFE.If the pipe is distorted you’ll need ptfe or a new section of pipe for the olive to sit on.
But had the olive been tightened on previously to this? If so then the damage may have already been done.This was only after the leak after hand tight and an extra turn
