Bathroom basin taps advice

View the thread, titled "Bathroom basin taps advice" which is posted in Bathroom Advice on UK Plumbers Forums.

I have a recent install of a complete bathroom, shower, tiles,WC, basin etc. The basin is a countertop with the taps outside the basin. I'm not happy with it, a lot of water gets on to the countertop. Is there a tap that I could get that has the controls inside the basin with an extended faucet further in to the basin. I've been looking online and can't see anything obvious.

I don't think you will get a tap with controls that goes inside that basin..you would have to change the basin or get a tap with a longer spout so that it goes further into / across the basin. I have found this even with taps and basins with the top mounted on the basin where there spout of the tap doesn't stretch far enough into the basin so you can't wash hands etc properly and water goes where it shouldn't

Thanks. Yes, I think I may go for a new basin.
