Hi all. My hot water feed for my shower is on the left and the cold is on the right. My understanding is that this is correct and this is also stated in the instruction manual for my valve.

However when I turn the mixer clockwise cold water is coming out the shower instead of hot water. When I turn anticlockwise the water goes hot when it should go cold.

Does anybody know why this could be happening? Could it be a defect with the valve itself? I've attached a picture of my valve for reference .Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No it’s correct it’s backwards to what you think it is as the hot mark goes to the centre to get more hot and the cold mark does the same etc

Thank you for the reply. This makes sense as you can only enable the temperature override button when turning the handle anti clockwise.

I did get advice prior to your message that the valve could be installed upside down. Could there be any truth in this? Thank you.

Can you talk to your plumbing supplier and ask him for advice?
I've check anthony sylvan reviews for example and it looks like they offer a great customer support to their clients after sales.
That is important moment that you need to call/write to someone in case you have questions about their products, right?
