HI can anyne help. i fitted a neta tec 28 in Aug and cust called me sunday. its gone off on e133 code called baxi they said its the gas pipe needs resizing as only 19mb working pressure, the instructions say it only needs 17!!! but its been fine since August.

Has anyone had this fault code?

Everyone will have noticed the harsh weather conditions that are currently gripping the country, and everything has been affected. Even our boilers. We've noticed that the low temperatures have caused some of the external pipework connected to our high efficiency (HE A) boilers to freeze.
This will be apparent if your boiler is displaying the code E133 on its display panel. The display will alternate between E1 and 33.
We hope that the following easy steps will help to get your boiler working again without the need for an engineer's visit.
  • If the boiler is displaying error code E133, check to see if the condensate pipe is located outside, as it may be frozen. It is a plastic pipe that leads into the drainage
  • To unfreeze the pipe, the best solution is to pour hot, but not boiling, water across the length of the plastic pipe until it has defrosted. This could take around 30 minutes, but the boiler will not light until this pipe has cleared
  • Once the pipe has thawed out, the boiler needs to be reset, and then should fire up and run as normal
The E133 error code will appear on all Baxi Platinum HE A, Duo-tec HE A and Megaflo HE A boilers.

that may be correct for the older baxi /potterton / main boilers but not the new neta-tec or duo-tec 2. the condensate is clear. E133 is a gas interruption fault. thanks for the tips tho.

either your gas valve has failed or you have gas/or gas pressure issues, take a working pressure test off the meter not uncommon for a dodgy Governor to drop to 14 mb and cause lock out,the neta tec much like the older, more reliable duotec has a premix burner any problems with the gas supply and it will crash

i will do that now. wp @meter is 21 so thats ok , guessing it has to be gas valve then if they have had a few dodgy ones. thought id try thr neta tec as no one seemed to have duotec 1 anymore. bring back the 105he i say.!!!

yeah tried dearation. it lights but seems that there is not enough pressure at the burner. instead of lighting with a whoosh its more of a poof lol.

yes it was a sad day when the 105/performa he was banned by the halfwits who make up the regs but you can easily buy a duotec 1 in potterton heatmax form same boiler, same warranty, different badge they are all i fit dont like neta tecs

This plumbing forum will not provide advice to anybody with regards to boiler repairs or any other form of gas plumbing without you first providing us with your Gas Safe Registration number in a thread - for very obvious reasons. If you're not qualified to touch gas, you should stay well clear of trying to!
