following on from the thread about the worst boilers this is a chance to describe what you would like in your perfect combi
starting at the top the flue has to be plastic easier to cut and unlikley the rot away
test points on boiler for fga not on the flue elbow and push fit or clamp so flue does full 360degrees
heat exchanger has to be stainless i hate alloy monoblocks with a passion
all internal pipework in copper with decent clips you can get a pair of pliers on for dismantling
pcb to have one multi plug with exsposed bits for multimeter testing and large terminals that you can get two wires in
connections for gas and water at front of boiler base facing down and using angled valves back to wall so you can move them left to right with a slide on pipe cover at least 50mm deep to hide said valves
definately no jig
nut and ring connection for condense pipe
i forgot the mounting bracket should be big with lots of holes to allow for bad walls

duotec 1 heat exchanger,(EV in combustion box)105 e bottom half, water proof pcb sorted

flexi 50mm intake and 50mm exhaust flue like keston, no great cores required.
hinge cabinet doors to all 3 sides with slide out component trays.

land rover should design it, then the tool kit will be a bent 12mm spanner n hammer.

Vaillant Eco tec range of boilers, yet to find anything bad about them, great boilers.

It's already been designed. It's a wolf.

If Buderus changed the hx in the gb162 from ali to stainless then that'd be pretty perfect for me.

Best design for a combi would have NO DIVERTER VALVE to go wrong - the old elm le blanc 4.20 etc had
a second water circuit that went around the heat exchanger - so you could have dom hot at same time as cn heat and no complicated valve to srew up

centralheatking

A filter in front of the phex to stop them blocking up like in the highflow (If only I knew it was there before I stripped everything apart)

Good quality valves that dont leak like mad as soon as you look at them or snap all together so you cant get the heating going ( Flaming Vokera I knew I shouldnt of touched them)

Electrical connections you can get a multimeter on for testing

mcn italian boiler or frisquet french they don't have diverter valve nor narrow passages plate heat exchangers they have copper ,shell tube heat exchanger much more efficient, they works with any pressure and are above 90% efficient without any condensing complication look at the website (mcn caldaie) my brother in italy only fit these boilers and lots are running efficiently after 25 years of use.

i agree but would like angled valve connections and a better connection for prv and condense all to tightly grouped especially with the trap coming out there as well
