Welcome to the forum. Although you can post in any forum, the USA forum is here in case of local regs or laws
Yes pal classed as an unventilated void, so tightness test as usual, then you must test the void at various points with a electronic leak dectector such as a gasco seeker, if one is not a available leak detector spray must be applied to every joint! Both of these are still subject to the TT results obviously!Got a 30m run of existing 2" screwed above a suspended ceiling with no ventilation. Is this okay? Would you class it as a void? Can't find anything really to relate it to in my gas books.
Yep as the regs ain't been updated specifically for Mapress etc....Out of curiousity would this scenario still count for a pressed stainless steel set up??
If the void is ventilated Chris you can......or fit vents as you have said etc, suspended ceilings are not air tight but are classed as unventilated voids, unless provision has been made for vents as above. It's been a long while since I did any of this but why can you get away without ventilation to the void I am sure I use to fit vents at either end (unless fire compartment) to vent the void stop build up ?
