dead ideal mexico

any suggestions or advice gratefully received

boiler is an ideal mexico he 15 (heavy floor standing boiler in a small flat)

the boiler is dead, its got power at the external programmer and its going from the spur to the chocolate box, but after that nothing.
Thought it was the main pcb and changed it, nothing
Changed the control pcb, now i'm ramdomly changing parts, not a good thing.
Anyway both pcbs changed and the boiler is still dead

resistance on the fan and gas valve is okay.
Theres no power going to external pump.
Fuse on new and old pcb is fine.
Manufacturer suggested its the pcb, when i said i'd changed it already they basically ran out of ideas and got off the phone

other than shooting it i've run out of ideas

Have you got power into boiler ? L/N/E & SL ?

yeah got power to L and N chocolate box, but not to additional terminals for controls

My initial assumption was its nothing to do with the controls as the boiler is showing no signs of life at all, nothing on the status LCD, no reaction when you press reset etc

I swapped and ideal pcb and controls board a while back, then anther pcb before it worked, seems ideal is good at providing broken pcbs from stock, then take 6 months to refund the merchant, who took a while longer to refund me!!!!!1

Well if you have power into wireing box on boiler and nothing else looks like you have another duff board, make sure when you get a replacement that seal is not broken on box !

I was hoping you guys were going to point out something obvious and easy to fix, i'd far rather have looked stupid than have to deal with that

Link out L1 and L2 to rule out external controls and check C on the condensate pump connection is live

You missed the obvious it needs a new thermocouple :biggrinjester:...awwwww those were the days lol
