doubt you will get a straight answer simon tbh!. can imagine they tell you to make the judgement, advise you to follow the correct procedures or go at a tangent to what the situation actually is!!.
it will turn out to be a dodgy co detector coupled by a daughter who cant understand why her 99 year old mam is loosing her memory and constantly nodding of, especially in the mild weather!!!.
or,, the appliances have not been serviced in years.lol.
i dont think there is any law that says; if you get called by the home owner to check the appliances for safety, you cannot do it?. if someone had died or is in hospital and a h&e riddor report going on then thats diffrent. its one or the other.imo.
