Help please!
I am having to replace my central heating and have been offered a Worcester 30SI with 5yr warranty or BAXI Duotech A rated boiler with 7yr warranty. I really don't know what to do, any help gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

I like fitting intergas as they have less parts to go wrong, warranty is 5 years in uk, much more in netherlands where they come from so the manufacturers think they are reliable and they are mid range price wise they all have A rating now to meet regs

Yes a WB CDI compact get a worcester installer for a 7 year warranty......I hear the hot waters none too good on those Ideals :drool5:

I would go with the worcester out the two. As said there are better boilers, but its a opinion.
worcesters are a easy sell as they spend a fortune on advertising, their website is very customer friendly

I always go for viessmann. I have tried several in recent months but for me price, reliability and build quality the Viesmann is the best all round. I'd stay we'll clear of baxi. I don't like worcester personally but it's not a bad boiler.

I have fitted 3 logic + in the last six months and I like them. Easy to service and reasonably priced

last year i was recalling round three heat exchangers a week.. that was just me. other collegues were too. bristols quite an ideal boiler area.

depends on the serial number if its xt or xn the hexs usual give way after 18months. the zh have problems of being distorted and leaking gas..

Right pal don't say anymore this is a public forum, work you post count up, then ask for permission for a key to the arms, this can only be read by members etc...

Its died down a bit on the hex front but the zh serial number have problems with the hex being distorted and leaking gas but is rare atm.

you have been fortunate please info me on vogue cause thats what i have to deal with next..

Not yet, will be going tomorrow aft to check mixer taps and shower.

I am sure you know the easy way, but for others, close cold isolation valve to boiler underneath, open all the hot outlets, after the initial surge it should be dead, if you have water coming out of any hot outlet including showers, bidets etc, you have crossflow, find by isolating each outlet in turn, until no cold comes from hot! Fix problem outlet job done!
