does anyone use chip and pin readers? i noticed that screwfix are doing the payleven reader for £99 and only a 2.8% charge per transaction instead of monthly fees. i thought these look like a good idea as not all customers have (enough) cash on them and would certainly help on emergency call outs. they run through bluetooth via smartphone or tablet and they seem to be compatible with iphone and android but not blackberry, shame as i had my eye on the z10 for xmas 🙁

We use chip and pin from Barclays. Think we just pay flat fee. Excellent as used to get charged 3% for cash deposits. Custards have no excuse not to pay as it can even be done over phone. Only excuse they now have is our work is rubbish!!

We have a payment sponsor coming on board to replace cardsave. Hang in there.

We've got a mobile one from 123 Send. £50 start up fee, you get a mobile card reader with a sim card and pay 1.5% on credit cards and 22p for debit card payments.

Card save is £25 a month plus VAT.
16p per transaction on debit card
1.8% per transaction on credit card

Been running with card save for just over 12 months, but gonna bin them. Too nosey. Wanting to know the ins and outs of big payments.
