Haha
We can't really help anyway he needs to get his GSR guy back could be a number off things

Once again thanks to all you guys who are trying to help me solve this problem.
One thing I cannot get my head round is the initial start condition 1st thing in the morning.
Both the F&R pipes will be cold and at the same temp. But when the pump starts and the boiler fires, the flow pipes temp. will rise quickly, but the return pipe will be cold for a period so what stops F72 from activating.

With all due respect I would say you need2 knowless. A little knowledge is dangerous and before you know it you've got your head in the boiler thinking you've sussed it.

It could be a number of things, heat input, circulation, boiler fault but without the right gear your not going to be able to test the basics. You've got a big house and an expensive boiler, treat it like a posh car and get someone who knows what they are doing to look at it for piece of mind and to save yourself un-necessary expense. Find some one reputable who knows what they are doing.

Thread has now gone on long enough with no resolution in sight.
