I fitted a BAXI heat only boiler a few weeks back and it's been working fine, I think, up until last night when they switched the heating on. They have had the heating on before now btw.
Now it appears to work only when the heating and hot water are on together, and then only for a while.
as it was wired into a Drayton wiring center, I think that it's wired correctly so could it be that the programmer is causing this or not?

Won't be a boiler problem.
It'd multimeter time..... Check m/valve has power in and out. If not, check stat. If not check programmer.
Bet it's the m/v! Don't matter what make, they are all rubbish these days

Cheers Chalked and Ch4 plumbing.
My thoughts are the MV rather than the programmer because it was playing up when I installed but they said if it was working to leave it, and it's always best to ask, especially when you've had the week I've had with fault finding 🙁
It's going to cost them extra in any case 🙂

I always change the motor valves on a boiler swop if they looking old... nothing worse than being called back a few weeks later & their blaming your boiler!

The amount of jobs I go to with new boiler & ancient controls/pump/programmer is crazy!

Yep - got called to this one yesterday. Passed it on to a sparky I know 🙂
The loose wire in the top photo was live as well.
