Hi,
I can't budge this toilet seat fixing!
Do the 'ears' lock the nut? Do I pull them out and then slacken the nut?

or should I be attacking it from the top rather than the bottom? I can't see how to get to the top of the fixings where the hinge is!
Any help appreciated!
Thanks
Al

What does the top look like?

Push both of these buttons into the toilet seat (see picture) and pull up hard and the seat will come off. Then pry up the round chrome caps gently from the hinges which will expose the securing screws underneath and the do what you need to.

In ctr of seat push x2 round chrome buttons outwards & lift seat vertically off the mount posts.

Once done then use slim screwdriver/knife blade to prise x2 larger round discs up.

They should come up a bit & then slide off the posts.

You will then prob see x2 plastic holder with a screw "X" point.

Undo them & then you can prise up the plastic locks ready for new seat.

Alternatively if new seat has same dimensions for posts then once old one is off the new one should slide straight down & lock in position,

Thanks,

The seat had twisted so I slackened off one fixing, put the seat back on, wiggled it until it was perfectly positioned, carefully took the seat off, tightened the screws and refitted the seat.
Is that how you do it? 🙂
looks good now - just going to test it...
