First post, please be gentle :cheesy:
Would forum members kindly advise whether this noise from a condensate pump (recorded at close proximity through a plasterboard casing) is normal: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxzNgjynKeqAZEtCbXd6aE5KT2s

Evening lads need to run a condense tomorrow for a new install. Can I just chop a section out the cast stack and fernco a section of plastic in to it with a boss???
i can't find anything in the viper saying I can't but I got a nagging voice in my head saying I can't because it's acidic
Getting a new combi boiler fitted soon as my 14 year old one is on the blink and this is gonna be condensing where the current one isn't. Question is, what would be my options for getting rid of the condensate?
All I've read seems to indicate that internal disposal is better due to potential...
Hi,
I don't know if you could advise me best in regards to the following situation.
I had leak on the boiler but could not see where this was coming from. Eventually I got a plumber in to have a look. They diagnosed that the condensate pipe has become blocked between the boiler on the landing...
Hi Guys
Re decorating the kitchen and found an external gully almost directly under the boiler location.
Apparently the previous owner/installer didn't realist was there, because they ran the condensate into pump/trough and then up into the roof space and over to the kitchen sink!
I have...
What would you class a prp that terminates into a condensate pump? saw this today on a Worcester greenstar combi. Had a tundish about quarter of the way down so you could see if it was leaking. Didn't look right but don't know if it's at risk or not??
Hi guys, recently sorted out a leak on overflow condensate pipe from a valiant boiler , on the vertical a coupling had split and also the 90 elbow directly below had also split out, im blaming the alignment of the pipes which clearly put both fittings under strain, but I had no idea these...
If chasing a condensate pipe in to the wall, and then exiting the building so needs to be 32mm pipe. Because.the 22mm pipe is in a chase.when it exits the building in to a 32mm elbow. Part of the elbow will be in the wall. I am concerned as you would never know if.it started to leak. Any one got...
does a condensate waste now have to be 32mm going through an external wall or can you still get away with 22mm through the wall and straight in to to 32mm then
Hello,
This is my first post and I hope you could offer me some advice please.
We recently had a new boiler fitted, the boiler and radiators are working well, but the finish is awful.
The Condensate Drainage Pipe runs externally to the soil pipe, not ideal, but were having a conservatory...
Servicing a 4 year old Junior today, the rubber seal on top of the trap didn't want to seal again. Had this before on a Ri, greased it up and it was fine. Had this one out 3 times adding grease and turned the rubber round, just kept letting a little condensate out. Ended up using a little clear...
Hi, I went to a cp12 and discovered that amongst other things (cooker hose on hob, prv coming straight out of the wall), that the condensate was in 22mm JG speed fit, 2 elbows and pipe. I AR'd the hob and the guy decided to ask me to fit a new one, and I changed the condensate and prv. If the...
Seem to be getting a spate of leaks of condensate pipework after it's been fitted a few years where the solvent cement on the fittings appears to be getting eroded away by the condensate.
Anyone else getting this problem ?
Does anyone know if condensate soakaways need maintenance (I.e replacing lime chippings after X amount of years)...
On a job at the moment where they are planning to fit one outside and then tarmac over!
Cant find any information specifically about this online or from the manu's (McAlpine...
Alright guys?
My mates condensate pipe keeps blocking, went around thursday and blew it all through and tipped water down it, but it's blocked again by today. I cut a section out above the floor boards as there is quite a few elbows, but no issue there, so I'm guessing the pipe is sagging and...
Fitting a boiler soon with a very awkward prv run.
Have seen a few into condense pumps.
Can any recommended a pump suitable as the ones I have seen
Are into normal pumps and I suspect they are not up to spec for
potential prv discharge? It's becoming quite common practice around
my way on...
Thoughts on this set up guys.
A load of these installs have appeared on my patch.
Prv ran into condensate pump via tundish and plastic pipework.
The condensate pump is compatible as per Saermann.
Vokera were giving no specific answer saying refer to British Standards.
Is there any of these that will allow the water to dishcahrge straight onto a road (backings)
Believe it or not even with a pump I can't get to a drain on there property , without re siting the boiler and ripping half the house to bits.
Ehup guys, on a job at the moment , i am struggling with the dreaded coni pipe. No waste pipes anywhere near. I had bought a condensate soakaway , but it has to go in a concrete drive ( oh joy ) and under the concrete there is a gas pipe, somewhere !!
A nats less than 3 meters away there is a...
