Good morning,
I'm trying to get an MCZ Hydro-22 pellet stove to provide heating. The stove is operational and is providing hot water to the taps, but it is not supplying the radiators.
Things I have done:
1. Bled radiators
2. Re-pressurised system (all gauges showing 1.5 bar)
3. Set...
I have a job with a pre plumbed cylinder the filling loop is attached and piped in with it, my issue is I am putting the water supply supply through a Tapworks AD9 Ultra which will supply all the hot water and cold water taps and showers except for the quooker tap in the kitchen, not sure I like...
Gradually losing pressure on combi. heating system. A smallish system in a flat, 7 radiators+ a couple of towel rails. No sign of any water leaks.
The boiler is a VOKERA UNICA 32HE.
Have been advised that it could possibly be the boiler expansion vessel.
If it is this, is it a relatively...
Hi, i am moving into a house with a back boiler open fire. which is great apart from working long hours and not been in to keep the fire going? i want to keep the system but would like a back up sytem that will kick in when the fire goes out? would i be able to put in a oil central heating...
Good afternoon,
Our system is losing pressure on a daily basis. Despite repeated top ups. I have listed the key points below.
When motorised valve on the heating side is switched to automatic.
System loses pressure overnight. Guage on top of expansion tank drops to zero.
I then top the...

I had a new boiler installed 3 years ago. Recently, I called in a plumber to fix leaking radiator valves. He drained the system and repaired the leaking valves. He also fitted 2 TRVs on 2 radiators in my lounge where there hadn't been TRVs before. I have a large lounge (originally 2 rooms) with...
Called to a customer today and the system boiler keeps repressurising on its own ... After I dropped out all the pressure I watched as it refilled ... The filling loop was disconnected at the time ... Customer reports that it's never done it before ... The only way I could stop it was to turn...

Morning all!
I'm about to flush out my central heating system then put some cleaner in before flushing again then putting the inhibitor in. My question is do I need a magnaclean type device fitted prior to doing this? Bit worried it might damage the boiler.
Thanks in advance
Hi Guy's,
I am moving into a property that currently has storage heating and no gas supply. The hot water system is a vented set up with tank in the loft and cylinder in a cupboard under the stairs. I have arranged for a gas connection to the house but am left wondering what to do for the best...
Ive now got to run a heating zone through a flat roof structure where the pipes will have to rise 300mm for 8m before dropping to a single rad using plastic pex pipe. Its obviously a sealed system but im worried about airlocks. Has anyone done something similar with no problems. What do you...
hi everyone
I’ve noticed a small issue with my heating and it’s bugging me because I can’t put my finger on what’s causing the radiators to randomly come on when our Nest therm is off.
I don’t think the Nest is at fault because the heat link is not showing “Heat on” lights when the boiler...
I've recently moved into a rented property. Its an old terrace house that's had a great refurb. My problem is they have fitted a brand new Ideal i-mini boiler. The central heating and hot water works fine but there is an irritating hum around the house when it's on. Its loudest when it comes on...
I am having a strange problem trying to repressurise my closed loop system.
I believe there is a (small?) underground leak in the system as the pressure regularly drops. Typically takes a few days
So regularly I repressure the loop with a feed valve.
There is a pressure meter near the feed...
I used to have a duel fuel system at home where I had oil heating and a multifuel stove with back boiler linked up to the heating system and they worked fine together for years. Around a month ago I got the oil taken away and a new worchester gas boiler installed. From this work was carried out...
I have got a problem with a commercial system. One zone is working fine, the other isn't. There are two vaillant boiler linked together through a low loss header and controlled by a VRC 630 control unit.
When the zone which is causing issues is turned on, the zone valve opens as per the...
Hi all, not on the tools now days just the odd job for family and friends.
Need to put a filter on the heating system my problem is all the pipe work goes from the boiler into the loft and across the loft floor, (Bungalow) the only place to put filter is between the boiler and ceiling 9" (228mm)...
Hi all, just bought a house and can't for the life off me figure out how my hot water is been heated.. I had a Honeywell controller thingy that I swapped for a hive, when I turn on central heating boiler fires up etc house gets warm all is well but here's the bit that confuses me...

Hi,
I have bought quite a large house to renovate and have completed the upstairs but am now wanting to create a multi-zone heating configuration.
I have bought a nest thermostat, we already have many google home's in our house so this was a logical step. I am not a plumber but can get my...
