Hi
I looking for some help with my boiler......it would only give me hot water when the heating was on and after looking on line i found that the problem was likely to be the diaphram in the flow valve. I changed the diaphram but still had the same problem so i changed the whole valve unit...

I'm sure im preaching to the converted but just a reminder that the low pressure tier goes up to 75mb and it is quite possible to see elevated pressures on low pressure services so if you use a water guage, you may well find that the water disappears over your shoulder when you turn the ECV on...

Hi Guys,
I thought I would be best off asking for this one in lieu of the wealth of advice on here.

I have been unsuccessfully trying to remove this nut to release the syphon from a high level cistern. The pipe is plastic so I cannot heat up the nut. I have tried freeze it spray which usually works but not on this occasion.
Any ideas?

Hello,
Around 3-4 weeks ago I noticed the TPV overflow pipe at the back of the house was dripping and the system pressure had increased to 3 bar. I bled the radiators (no trapped air) and then ran off some water from a downstairs radiator. Initially this did the trick and the pressure dropped...

My house is a normal...

My boiler is over pressurising, and venting out of the PRV outside (Continually dropping) I have replaced the PRV and checked the expansion vessel that needed topping up. I did notice that when I had toped up the Expansion vessel that the water gauge when up to the pressure that I had put into...
I currently have a gravity feed system.
In the very near future I am adding a loft extension to my property so the 2 cold water tanks in my London roof will have to be removed.
I seek a plumbing/engineer to visit my property to give me advice and possible options in upgrading my existing...
The wife in her infinite wisdom has decided she wants a high level cistern. As the standard height is 2.3 ish metres and the room is 1.9 my question is can the flush pie be trimmed this much without affecting the flush too much? The cistern is a 3/6 L dual flush.
