    Broken thermal store --> heatbank?

    I have a 210L Albion thermal store, electric only, used for hot water. Question is: can I convert this to a heatbank with a plate heat exchanger? It's either...

    Unvented cylinder vs thermal store (1 floor flat, no gas/renewables, soft water)

    Hi, I'm in a one-floor flat, currently with a cold water tank about 4 foot above floor level and an electric immersion tank underneath it at floor level (no gas, Economy 10 electricity). This obviously is a disaster for anything except a bath: there's a shower hose attached to the bath taps...

    Unvented pressurized system as opposed to thermal stores

    Why are unvented pressurized systems more popular than thermal stores. They seem to achieve the same end result with higher pressure hot water but thermal stores are easier to install and do not need a special 'ticket' to work on them.

    Hi Group Had a sales man today call and quote for a 1 flat plate solar thermal system. And a 200 litre pressurised tank. He recommended Oventrop over Bosch and quoted for both? The Oventrop system came to a slightly higher price. Thanks for your views Iain
