22mm double check valve full bore? Use 28mm instead?

Hi all,

I've just realised we have a 22mm supplying a hose for machine filling - no check valve protection. Flow rate is very important though so I don't want to restrict the flow with a normal double check valve...

Is there such a beast as a full bore/full flow 22mm double? If not, would a 28mm valve offer the equivalent flow?

Or can I use 2 single full flow 22mm valves, is that within regs? Or does it need to be a dedicated double valve...?

Thanks in advance!

Do you mean like an outdoor hose / garden hose type? Out of interest what sort of machine?

It's a mobile rain SFX machine, when stationary it holds about 22,000 litres, hence not wanting to restrict the flow.

The setup we have is essentially an indoor hose... but same deal as a garden hose in that there's a hose-tail onto which we can connect any manner of non potable/wras water hoses and other kit - which is why it should have double CV protection.
