I fitted a boiler at a house a while back and they have asked if I will fit their new cooker.
They have sent the make and model so I looked it up and its a free standing duel fuel cooker- electric oven and 8-ring gas hob!

On a standard hob/cooker I light 3-rings and check the working pressure at no.4

The MI's say light 2-rings and check the pressure.

Does anyone fit this type of appliance?
What's the correct way of checking working pressure/pressure drop from the meter with so many rings?

Test point before bayonet is the only way.

It's called a range cooker and is a category on domestic ticket. Test nipple as u join flex onto appliance. Usually u can make one 1/2 iron tee bush down to 1/4 and fit test nipple on branch or shove test hose on one ring light 5 have your blowtorch heating the FFD and turn on gas to number 6. Obviously you have boiler and any other appliances on full tilt.

If they have decent cooker probability kitchen is over 5cm3 and they have doors and windows??

It's a fair size kitchen with a door and window so no ventilation will be needed.

I wasn't sure how many ring would be considered 'maximum'

I will gas safe a call in the morning to see if I can fit this under my cookers ticket

yes you can, manufacturer assumes in most cases not all 8 will ever be working thats why they have asked you to test with 2 running ,normally the biggest 2
