Hi there

pipe.scenario.jpg

I'm running a new soil line into a stack and have a situation shown in the photo whereby I have a 87 degree bend joining up straight into the stack.

Notes:
- yes, this will all be buried below ground level (hence its brown)
- I will be replacing the (brown) vertical section above ground shown in the photo with black pipe
- I will likely have a couple of inches of straight soil pipe between the couplings shown in the photo or I will use a single connector bend straight into the 3-way

My question is - is it ok to have a bend so close to the stack?
I don't see why not but I wanted to check since this is my first time at groundworks.

cheers

always bear in mind how your going to rod through a blockage, include rodding eye where needed

cant u tea it in the ground with a y bend. brown black gray doesnt matter what it is if its beeing boxed

Thanks for the replies.

I cant tee on ground unfortunately so will ensure there is a decent fall.
I will have rodding access on new horizontal line as well as vertical stack.

Kel4783 - do you propose the horizontal soil line feeding into the bend has a fall of maybe 1:30 then rather than about 1:40?

ie. about 30mm drop per meter?

cheers
