Hello all, been in the Army for Approx. 6 years and got my city and guilds 6129 qual whilst undertaking phase 2 training.

The main reason I registered here is that I am looking to gain on my existing qual with a view to gaining employment back in civvy street in the next few years. From what I gather, my next step would be the City and Guilds 6189 course but stand by to be corrected?

If possible, is there anywhere near Colchester I can apply to get on course or would I need a work placement?

Although I only have a 6129 Qual, our military assesment went over the minimum level required for the qualification and have a portfolio with documented evidence to back this up. I believe the reason I didn't gain an NVQ was because all work was undertaken in a workshop environment, not a domestic one. Again, I stand by to be corrected!

Thanks for reading my little spiel, hopefully you all go easy on me and I look forward to contributing more in the future!

Clunge.
