I can't stand toilets, the most basic of plumbing work and always turns into a nightmare.

I think I'm on a bad run as i expect them to leak now when putting them back together....... It senses my fear..... :uhoh2:

Glad to see everyone has a battle now and then. you can usually tellwhen you dismantle them and see the last guy has done something weird like silicone the c/c bolts in an exact place or soemthing that someone previous has had a battle on their hands. By then it's too late. I should have left a warning sharpied inside the cistern lid. It would read, "Syphon change? Quote for 3 hours."

Just been to a job which was a mates who's toilet has been installed for 3 months

Foam doughnut at the top was crushed compared to rest of the circle. Turned it so it was on the back siliconed outside of doughnut and inside of doughnut where the siphon will release water.

I find the rubber doughnuts the best. This is the first time ive siliconed a doughnut and its sealed... Dont like doing it but at 7pm, merchants closed and on way home thought would give a try to get his wc working.

Got a 4pk of san miguel and £20 mates rates 😉
