Hi, first timer here seeking advice on routing a bath waste.
Have to say this is a great site full of good advice & tips.
To avoid using the existing unsightly boxing leading to the soil stack I would like to route the waste to an outside drain.
It would need to go from the bath trap 1m horizontally, then 2.5m vertically, then 0.5m horizontally. Unfortunately the floor joists run the wrong direction to be a simple route under the floor!
I can see two potential pit-falls;
a) the water seal lost by the vacuum effect (could this be solved by an anti-syphon valve?),
b) will the drain handle the rate of water? I suppose I could test this by pouring a large volume of water down the pipe into the drain?
Any advice would be greatfully received.
