hi,
I replaced a radiator my conservatory, bleed it and re pressurised the boiler, ever since it has been tripping out on overheat (red light flashing), I have done this with several other radiators in my house and it has been fine. My guess was I have air in the system, before when I have done this you can here the air venting in the boiler, but this time I haven't. Does this sound like the automatic air vent has stopped working or is it likely something else?

Thanks Ryan

Is the cap open on the vent also pump may need bleeding you could try adjusting the bypass as we'llwe'll

The cap is off but hole had a bit of muck it so cleaned it out and I've bled the pump, but still no better, not sure what you mean by adjusting the bypass?

The bypass will be a valve near your boiler connecting the flow and return pipes together this may need adjusting

Wont be the bypass. He's replaced a rad not installed an extra one so system resistance shouldnt be dramatically altered.

How long does it take to lock out the boiler after it fires up. If its overheating pdq then it will be a circulation problem. Most likely air.

Try draining and refilling.
