Had an appointmant today, with someone from ATM (Apprenticeship Training Limited),seemed pretty good.I first done my C&G apprenticship when i first left school, been in engineering the past 20 years untill i got made redundant a few months back.I've been looking into getting back into plumbing and found these guys. The course seems pretty good.

Has anyone been been trained by ATM? Just want some feedback really.

Cheers.

I second what mountainman has said.If you you think a fast track-6/8 wk course is going to make you a fully fledged plumber- THINK AGAIN!
Just take some time to read the plumbing forum, you'll soon discover that a lot of people are wasting considerable sums of money on a fast track course only to come out the other side with a incomplete qualification as most can't get the on-site experience to complete the NVQ 2.If that not enough of an incentive to do further research on this, then please have a look at the Plumbing/Heating association site as I think they regard NVQ 3 as the bare minimum qualification required in order to call yourself a Plumber!!!!

plumbing and heating association?
never heard of them either.

just as well as i am not a plumber with just the nvq2, c&g l3 and gas safe...
proud to call myself a blogger!!!.

Give them a call and ask what qualifications you actually get as the others have said. Or i'd recommend calling up a local plumber in your area and simply asking them what they'd be looking for when they hire new staff. You never know they might offer you some kind of work or training. The best place to learn is on the job and talking to people in the industry.
