Avoiding airlocks in central heating system teeing off from the main pipework

central heating radiators to feed upstairs and downstairs main paperwork runs in ceiling void downstairs ,need to tee off to radiators downstairs do I tee off from above or below on the main
pipework to avoid airlocks
