basin waste connection

I'm just buying this to fit in my 'cloakroom' bathroom and I am wondering if its easy to connect the waste. I have existing plastic waste pipe in the bathroom and i'm assuming the waste and trap supplied with this basin are metal - what connections would I need?

The chromed metallic pipe will fit into a 32mm push fit or compression coupler/elbow.

If your existing pipe is solvent weld you will probably have to connect via a compression fitting.
