F

fix

Hi I'm wanting to buy the Baxi Duo Tec 28HEA combi boiler as for the price and 7 year warranty I think it's pretty hard to beat at the moment.

I know there is the older mk1 model and also the mk2 which has had some pretty bad issues, so I'm wondering if anyone could help in letting me know how to tell the difference between the two on the boxes like a part number or something similar?

Thanks

Why do you need to know your buying a new boiler so it wont be an older one . But a new one.

Like I say because the mk2 has known issues and the mk1 sounds like a generally more reliable model, and they are still available to buy from some plumbers merchants.

Thanks Ermintrude that's perfect thanks, I've heard bad things about the GA so that makes sense, my gas safe installer generally fits the Ideal Logic boilers which seem have a good rep, but I can get the Duo Tec for a couple of hundred pounds cheaper with the same 7 year warranty so decided to go for one of those

Blimey! We fit both and normally same price. Good boiler tho. Fit a magnetic filter on return with some of your savings then

Good choice, fitted one yesterday, noisier and bigger than others, but cheaper, perfect for cylinder cupboards, got one in a rented house its 6 year old changed expansion vessel last week <£58> only problem in 6 years.Cheap spare parts and easy to work on.
