buckley plumb

a mate i used to work with called, said the boiler fan light is flashing . boiler is reset and fan light illuminates immediatly. told him to link the common and normaly closed . he said the light went out but still no boiler operation i was expecting the fan to run and boiler to attempt to light.am i correct in telling him its the pcb now.he didnt have a multi meter so i could not talk him through the continuity of the aps.i know on the 105 if the common and nc is linked and the fan does not run and there is no power at the fan then its the pcb.

The aps Self checks with pcb, so linking it out makes the pcb thinks it's jammed. Personally I would change the aps first as it's a lot cheaper mistake.

been to it today the fan is turning slow there is a pulsed voltage of approx 80 volts to the fan and the relay on the board is clicking the fan on and off - the fan light flashing with the pulse of the click.spoke to baxi - tested gas valve resistances /o heat stat and temp stat resistances all ok . linked the common white wire and the black and it does the same .so i am assuming the pcb well baxi think so . removed wires from aps and the only one i got any voltage reading on was the black approx 70volts.
