Baxi Solo - Help Please

Hi, I am new on here and looking for some advice please.
Baxi Solo2 80PF

System works fin then after a couple of hours, the system sometimes does not work.
When this happens, I have checked:
Fan - OK
Pump - OK
Pilot - On
Timer - Calling for heat
Room Stat - Calling for heat.
But no boiler burning.

To get to work, any of the following works.
Shut the power off and back on.
On the timer, advance to off, can then hear fan shut off, then advance again and all will be fine.
Turning the boiler control down to Zero, then back up again.

Any suggestions on what the problem is please?

I have had the same problem many times before om the solo but its not a DIY job to repair
Post your location and someone may be able to help

Thanks for the reply. Not interested in DIY but would like some indication of what it could be. If major, will consider renewing the boiler.

They are a pretty simple boiler to repair and would not cost no where near as must as a new boiler would

Yes, would agree if it is a problem with the boiler then it should be a fairly easy one to find and rectify for a local engineer.

Update

For starters took the quickest, cheaper and easier option firt. Changed the boiler thermostat. Now been running 36 hours with no failure to burn. Fingers crossed. Thanks all.
It was failing ignite probably 3 times in 24 hours.

For the future, any diagnostic engineer in the Swansea area on here?

i am near swansea but run very busy,you alsp have a good guy in carmarthen if your really stuck but he only works on baxi,s or vailants
