i know this type of thread has been done before, but it wasnt completely conclusive and buying and indeed maintaining an analyser is quite a lot of money, obviously I want to be sure I pick the right one

so my question is which combustion analyser do you recommend and which ones offer the best deals to both buy and calibrate etc

so far the only one I've ruled out is testo due to cost and they are such bulky things to lug around
also I cant see myself making much use of the kits, I think the probe and printer will be sufficient

(my next question will be best place to purchase one)

JMW Limited, Test and Safety equipment, Sales, Service and Calibration

If you phone these people they can probably answer all your questions.

Choice on the forums seems to be the Kane 455 but others are fine as well. I've got one and also a Kane 455 and, to be honest, don't mind which I use - seem as good as each other. But the Kane will cost less in calibration costs over time. (My Testo recently cost me £300 to have fixed after it was damaged by being too cold last winter and having to have 2 or 3 things replaced on it this time around.)

I bought mine from GES also and confirm the service is superb , I went for the sprint V2 it is a very easy tool to use and would recommend it. They also offer the training

okay in quick summary the anton v2 and the kane 455 look to be the most recommended, which is good because thats about the price I was looking to spend

I've heard a few bad things about the kane 250 and was wondering whether the 455 had any similar quality issues
with the anton i'm a bit cautious as i've never had the chance to try one, i've used other peoples kanes and testos and they seemed alright

Ambrosia, if you are unsure of a brand or model, the company I recommended above also rent them. Worth the £25/wk hire to make sure you have the right one.

yep i got v2 sprint cheap to get calibrated mines gone over co level few times on a gas valve, goes into smart purge and its ok had it checked by jmw ltd its brill and it has a gas sniffer which is brill
