big merchants, they never deliver

ordered a load of kit yesterday, ask for delivery first thing today and left contact no so I could be on site for delivery. rang them at 1100 to query where they were, got told short staffed so no deliveries.
SO WHY DID THEY ACCEPT MY ORDER IF THEY WERE SHORT STAFFED AND COULDNT DELIVER, WHY DIDNT THEY RING TO LET ME KNOW THEY WERENT DELIVERYING.

NOTHING AGAINST BUILDER CENTER BUT THEY WONDER WHY I DONT USE THEM EVEN THO THEY ARE LOCAL, NOW I REMEMBER WHY.!!!!!!

Luckily Im only doing an insurance job on a ceiling, for a mate but its so annoying. A local independant merchant I use for plumbing bits will hop in his van for anything if hes free, why dont the big boys get their act together and start providing a service?😡

Don't get me started about the Builder Center. One of their drivers drove into my van, actually reversed into it. Held his hands up to it, and is now disputing liability.

You're right, the bigger these companies are, the less they care.

Plumbcenter are our main supplier, no problems with ours. Speak to the manager.

+1 for pts. i have quite a few merchants by me and got to say they deliver on time and always friendly.
