Can the water make-up to a heating system be permanently connected via a pressure reducing valve from a booster water supply?
The boosted supply is through a mains water break tank so cannot contaminate the mains water supply.

No. Need to install a make-up and pressurisation unit but run out of space to install one. I'm fitting a large break tank and booster set so thought I could use the booster water supply for heating make-up through a PRV. It used to be acceptable but I don't know if current regulations state differently.

Do you need a presurisation unit?
Can you not just put in a manual fill loop?
I guess it's not for domestic install

Yes, it's a large domestic 10 bedroom house and the type of clients that would not want to top-up with a filling loop. Would normally fit a mini-filler or similar but due to the plant-room design there is no wall or floor space left.
Booster set will give 3.0 bar constant with variable speed pumps and the LPHW system only needs 1.0 bar cold fill pressure.
As no 'contaminated' water can pass back into the mains supply I assume it's OK but just need to check the current regulations.

well yeh true, its linked up to a computer isnt it ? I don't know much about the heating in plant rooms, worked more on the HW side but if i remember correctly we had problems with that and was always flashing up on the computer.

No no no

You cannot install a quick fill/ filling loop on any system larger than 45kw.

Microfill invested thousands in developing a product that didn't need a pump

mistake for relying on valves and pressure. One day the booster set will fail and you will get backflow of cat 4 water
