Evening All,
I've dug myself into a hole due to being too busy and there being shortages of kit. Basically the Megaflow unvented cylinder I ordered last year has been delayed for three weeks and I cracked on changing the boiler thinking I could at least instal the boiler. So I'd put in a Worcester 8000 Life system boiler before I realised I'd installed a high pressure boiler on a vented system. As it's only a temporary problem I thought I could seal the heating side and run it from the boiler and disconnect the primary and heat water from the immersion. My question is if I left the coil empty and both ends open would there be any problem simply using the cylinder and immersion to provide hot water? All I can imagine is the airing cupboard might get a bit hot.
Advice appreciated.
Jock

You can use a sealed heating system to heat an open vented cylinder. So no reason to disconnect unless I am not understanding the problem?

Thanks Shaun,
It doesn't have to be a Megaflow. I could probably get an alternative. It's just what the customer wanted.
