theres two tickets the CDDMA1 and the GL8 or A I think its called, ive just done the first one, if you go to a alarm that has been set off you carnt just think oh new batteries you have to do a investigation to see wether it is or not, if you go and start rectifying things without doing the proper checks you cant get in trouble, I have just done the course, if you went to an alarm going off how do you know its faulty, you can see CO you cant smell it, how do you know its not coming from next door? if someone has fell ill through CO and the alarm was activated you cant do this investigation unless you have the GL8, the GL8 means you can become a expert witness in trials and things like that, the normal CDDMA1 is if a alarm has just been activated then you have to carry out the check before anything can go back on.
As I said previously. As per a number of previous cases of alarm activation with no mention of any CO symptoms I have carried out full appliance check and a room ambient test.
As far as I am aware I have been deemed competent to confirm the safe operation of a gas appliance.
In vast majority of classes it is down to an alarm issue.

If you think I am incorrect in this then please furnish us with the Gas Safe directive/regulation I am not aware of.
If there was ever a case where someone had a suspected case of CO poisoning I would take advice on the escalation process and pass on to someone more qualified to investigate this.
