combi wont fire upstairs.but will downstairs!

Hi,
I have a Vailant combi fitted in my bathroom working fine until today. For some reason i have lost pressure upstairs to the point it will not fire the combi when i open the hot tap.The downstairs pressure is fine and the combi fires straight away when the dowstairs hot tap is opened...Any ideas

its a tap problem not a boiler one stripclean and regrease the taps
or replace

im lost on how you came to that correct conclusion, could you explain why? i take its something to do with the tap not proving the flow switch? is that right lol, still learning

mains water passing through mixer tap and back up hot, reducing hot flow so flow switch not switching ?

this should not happen on a mixer tap connected to a combi, the hot and cold are at the same pressure so should not effect on one another.

How many sets taps do you have upstairs? They all affected? Any plumbing/boiler work done recently?

I was going to be clever and say a turbomax but thought I'd leave it for you to say! If it turns out that the mixer taps are fine then the diaphragm on the diverter is stretched! If it is the mixer then good call by stevetheplumber. 🙂
