could this really be my fault????

Hi guys ,

did a system swap last week. just had the customer on the phone saying since i did the install his security lights havent worked.

all i did was remove the fuse from the spur supplying power to the old heating controls and removed the pump, cylinder stat, room stat and 3port valve wiring. surely this cant have caused the security lights to be knocked off, hes saying no power is coming through to the on off switch (indicated by a red led) has this happened to anyone else?
id have thought the security lights would be wired straight to the main fuse box or on the lighting main?????

what do you guys think?

Its probably spurred off the heating spur, this is why my mate does the electrics for me.

heres a thought when you mounted the new boiler drilled trough a cable?

Maybe if just light with sensor and spared off heating,it requires its own fused spare however if you turned power off then back on after works,you may of reset it to off mode,ask customer to turn power off again and then back on,this may reset to sensor mode

ie on many sensor lights each time you turn power on and off ,it changes mode of light sensor

all sorted, custard had wired his own security lights in and took the feed from the fused spur for the boiler. put the fuse back in and removed any other connections. customer is once again a happy chappy.
