thoughts on above really. when converting a traditional system to a combi and you fit the boiler in the old cylinder cupboard, is it worth the extra effort to change the hot feed to the bathroom from 22mm down to 15mm, would the difference be noticeable enough to justify doing it.

Basically I did the conversion at my own house a few years ago and i'm soon to be doing the bathroom. the run wouldn't be particularly difficult to do (2 hours at most) ill be having a wall mounted bath shower mixer in the bathroom but im debating whether its worth the extra effort and is it actually going to make much difference.

Don't think is about extra effort, more about extra cost on a job. I've never seen anyone do it, so I would think you will lose out on price. In your own house your choice.

my only concern really is would it give me more pressure at my shower if i ran it all in 15mm as oppose to it going 15mm for the 1st meter, then 22mm for 7-8 meters then back down to 15mm

haha cool, its not very often the easier option is the one to go for!!

Mite when we did Install's for them, part of the spec was to change the run to 15mm

****e prices aswell

its only going to effect the amount of water wasted before the hot water reaches the tap really. So unless your on a water meter or its a long run if not really common practice.
