Hi there,

Thinking of upgrading my garden hose for a decent rubber drain off hose, tired of my hose and jubilee clip leaking! I have seen a few out there for sale, willing to choose well, buy once if anyone can recommend getting one.

Cheers!

I can't think what it's called but there is a springy thing on the internet that looks ace if it's for mains water. If it's for draining I use the clear internally braided ( nylon ) type thing that you can't squash !

Sounds like i'm rambling but I hope it makes sense

The orange rubber type is purely for draining down systems,it's not suitable for mains pressure

Thanks for the replies, specifically for draining down radiators without spilling the contents of a rust rad on the carpet.!

I think you are talking about Regin hose which is about 50 quid for 10 metres, never used it myself. The leak happens because you got nothing coming out of the end of the hose, unkink the hose and straighten it, make sure it falls gradually or is level, play around with drain cock.
I use the[DLMURL="http://www.wickes.co.uk/Hozelock-30m-Ultra-flex-Hose/p/132510?CAWELAID=120135120001184036&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=17408411932&CATCI=aud-162418604692😛la-193347849892&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping%20-%20Garden&tmcampid=&tmad=c&tmplaceref=J8P9hugc&utm_content=sJ8P9hugc|pcid|43364563852|pkw||pmt||&gclid=CjwKEAiAoaXFBRCNhautiPvnqzoSJABzHd6hrXEVJ_s2Ps8oudxsH4-mvoxZ8JrpRSlPFg-WWG2K-BoCkIHw_wcB"] green hozelock [/DLMURL] hose it doesnt kink like the yellow one.

I wasn't thinking quite a few times to buy one regin hose but as you said £50 for 10m is quite a bit of money.
I'd rather spend it towards a new tool

I've got the region one and one from Williams got hose lock connectors to join together if needed, the plus with these is they don't kink or collapse.

I bought a 10m-30ft Regin rubber hose from my local merchant for £30 so it was the same price as a decent good quality garden hose. It is fantastic, easy to store and put away with the supplied velcro straps, it never kinks, never tangles up on itself and is so easy to use on many different DOC's, and valves. I've been using it for about a year now and would never go back to using my old Hozelock. A really good convenient and time saving purchase in my opinion.
