fitted a new duotec hea 24 today can you help with the following . run hot tap on full and display on boiler read 60 degrees I am assuming the hw sensor reads the hw outlet or does it read the primary rtn. well was reading 60 but water at tap was lookwarm was puzzled for a bit then turned off htg valves incase it was passing and still the same .I then checked the flow rate and it was 14 /min I know this is more than it should be but I the hw sensor reads the hw outlet temp then why 60 when t was about 38 . I then throttled the mains cold to boier to 10litres and the hw was ok - iam assuming the wrong flow restrictor is fitted but why was the display showing 60degrees

I think it reads the primary flow temperature rather than the h/w temperature. You could check the thermistor resistance to make sure it's in range. But ye, 14 litres is way to high for this boiler! If the water pressure is too much, I usually just partially shut the cold inlet valve until it lowers the flow rate to what the MI's state.

No flow restrictor, boiler probably a wee bit small. Should really have been 28 or 33! 24 is 1lpm with a 2c rise!

You not read the mi then? Think it says on about page 6 the gas pipe shall be a minimum of 22mm from meter to boiler inlet? Unless they changed it
