I had to gas rate on an E6 meter in a dark, muddy basement the other day. No place to put down tools.
I stayed there for two minutes only to find out the meter index had not updated at all. Obviously the cooker was burning gas.
I press the red button at the beginning and the end.
Has anyone encountered this before?
It was a LL cert, so I just noted and moved on.

My current Edmi smart meter hasn't updated since I moved in 3 years ago. I told British gas who is our energy supplier and haven't heard anything from them, their estimated usage is less than our neighbours so I'm not in any rush to chase it up again.

From the research I did on it I think once discovered you're obligated to tell them, you won't get free gas if you don't but do risk them giving you crap estimates and paying more than you should have (or the customer in this scenario.)

I had it at least once, told customer to report it to their supplier. Just put on my notes it didn’t work and FGA covers it.
