Hello everyone,

this is is my mates new design and to be honest I think it's amazing.
please watch the video on the website and tell me what you think

Saw something similar last year or year before.

We all getting free samples to test and review?

Not trying to be a pain in the bum, but I'd rather just shut the valves and drain a bit of water out the radiator then change the knackered air point 🙂

Your telling me you haven't been able to drain a rad due to a ceased up vent point? Sometimes in order to fix the vent point is to replace the whole rad. I would rather buy these cheap tool.

After doing conversions everyday, this thing is a god send!!!

I can't honestly say I've come across an air point that has been ceased so tight that it won't come off, I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I've always been able to close the valves , take a wee bit water out the rad and replace for new 🙂.
I can just imagine Joe public ballsing it up and water spraying everywhere though

Thats fair enough if you haven't mate . But it's helped us do much on the existing systems we are working on.

Drill a small hole in snapped nipple use a screw removing tool. Keep old nipples from old conquests

It'll never sell. Honest opinion.

It won't sell to the trade. It will sell in limited numbers to the DIY sector and maybe into the "property maintenance/general handyman" market.

And £1.99 for a rad key?

Yeh I can't see it catching on. I've come across loads of stuck bleed nipples and it's never stopped me from working. It's a solution..... But only to a very minor problem.

Hmm, only a solution for social housing imho.

put this in any normal customers house and all you'll get is complaints about the eyesore.

you'd have to drain the rad and put it on the back to have it look sensible.

Also how long is it guaranteed for, once the rad has heated and cooled over a period of time the expansion would cause leaks

A decent enough idea but as Ray said it will be limited to the B&Q market.
Any pro can fill a roundtop with a snapped pin if they need to (well i can :lol🙂

It's a good solution, the problem is pretty rare tho tbh... Looks a bit funny on front of rad too! I like the rapid installation tho, that's pretty good!!

In 8 years plumbing, I remember one radiator that had a sheared air vent (built in myson type) that would have benefitted from this design...

I want a similar device that can be attached to a 15 or 22 or 28 copper pipe for stubborn air locks etc, that would be a bigger target market, probs not as easy to design tho?

alladin the ones who make the live isolators would be the ones to pitch it too.

I like it, would really like to try one for the old rusted bleed valves. Would like to try one. Bit expensive though. £2-3 should be the price.

Isn't that the same thing they use in star wars to stop droids running away?

Not a bad little product. like many have already said however it has a limited potential market, unless it does in fact stop robots roaming free.

radiators with bleed valves in the end plugs which is a superior design are far more prevalent than the type with the rubbish rear facing mini bleed found on cheap round top rads. I am with those who would remove the radiator and replace.
