Hi,

Tired of waiting for this unit to be officially released over here, I thought I might buy it from the states direct.

Before I do so, can anyone advise whether the unit will work over here? And with my Vaillant Ecotec Pro 24?

I'd need new power adaptors of course, but are the connections to the boiler standard?

Ecobee installation manual is here:

Boiler installation manual here:
http://www.vaillant.co.uk/stepone2/data/downloads/d7/42/00/ecoTEC_installation_and_servicing.pdf

Any advice will be much appreciated!

Looks like it would work but you would have to use the low voltage control connection in the boiler and not the 240 v switching because the controller says do not use line voltage eg 240v looks interesting pice of kit though

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how it performs.

The remote unit itself can run off a battery right? It's just the receiver that needs power, which can come from a dedicated low voltage supply from the boiler rather than from the wall?
