Hello,
We are going to be renovating our bathroom and wondered if anyone could give advise on showers.
We had several years ago an electric shower fitted, which is a 9.5kw mira sprint. We used this every day, then we had a new boiler fitted which is a Worcester Bosch Greenstar Heatslave ii as we are on oil.
We stopped using the electric shower and used the mixer shower head from the bath taps as we have more water pressure plus we heat the water up anyway so no point using the oil and electric.
We are not sure whether to replace the electric shower with another Mira but with the rainfall shower head or remove the electric shower completely and for a shower with rainfall head that runs off the combi.
The water pressure for the bath taps mixer shower has plenty of pressure for a having a shower, the electric shower doesn’t seem to have as much pressure coming out of the shower head especially when temperature is turned up on the shower.
Would a 10.5/10.8kw electric shower have better pressure coming through the shower head.
I don’t want to spend the money on a new electric shower if it will be no better, I’d rather remove and use the combi.
