While on the subject of electric showers, does anyone know if there is a direct replacement for this shower Mira Essentials 8.5 J89K? I contacted Mira and all the showers they make these days the electric and supply are the wrong way round. So old was water top left and electric middle left or vice versa
I don't know that Mira model, but I guess Mira would suggest only their own models as replacements.
Really not worth doing any damage just to move pipe & cable.
I recently replaced a couple of Mira showers that had the pipe & cable on left, with Redring Expressions model. It comes in a 8.5 or 9.5 kw. It has water or wiring connection either side.
Mira Play or Go will fit straight on
Really hey, why would mira not mention that then. Crazy
Cos you spoke to somebody manning a phone wcgaf
The redring seems like a nice shower but LTD places sell them and not cheap on their site. Do you get them cheaper from your merchants
Redring are mainly sold by electrical merchants round this way. No plumbers merchant i know stock them but they could probably get you one.
Its a few years since i fitted a Redring shower. Grahams used to sell them but thats a few years back.
I have contacted Mira and they have said my best option would be a jump but it would still need moving cable and pipe. I didn't want to get into removing tiles etc
Aye its pretty shyt for a Mira compared to what they used to be but they are all getting a bit like that. The rail kit, I recall, is poor though.
We recommend City Plumbing Supplies, BES, and Plumbing Superstore for all plumbing supplies.
