Hi all,
This morning for no obvious reason, our toilet has started misbehaving. You flush it, it fills... then once the tank is as full as it should be, water continues to fill into the tank. The level rises to the overflow tube and a gentle but steady flow runs down through the toilet bowl.
My immediate thought was the filler valve. It's a WDI B3300-Y, one year old. The float mechanism is rising when it should, and the sound of the water filling changes when it's up - possibly slows down - but it doesn't stop filling.
I have taken the top off the filler valve to give it a wipe, hasn't fixed it. I suppose changing the filler valve could be an option but if this is a leak caused by something else - or indeed if it is the filler valve but it can be fixed - then I don't want to replace the whole thing. But I'm out of ideas.
Can anyone help?
Thank you!
Joe
