Hi Guys,

I'm training for my BPEC gas and thinking of buying my first van towards the end of the year because I do little plumbing and odd jobs here and there in my spare time from work so looking at a small van, just want to know what you guys think is the best one to go for.
Don't need any thing pretty or new just a cheap little workhorse for about £1500

cheers Steve.

my first van was a peugeot partner, did me for a couple of years. now moved up to a citroen despatch.

I've been looking at the escort vans but are they any god on fuel because ill be using to get to my full time workplace as well also looking at combos,

cheers.

My escort van was great cheep to run bit slow tho. Had a combo the gear stick fell though the floor not good

I had a combo for a little while, but it's good enough for the odd jobs and brilliant on fuel.

Got renault traffic now had it 3 yrs was 2 yrs old when got it no problems, great on fuel and great drive. Before I had a renault kangoo cracking van till mot time !!! You can pick kangoo up for next to nothing now

transit connect, similar engine to the escort but better performance, good on fuel cruise at ahem.. 70 honestly officer .. on the motorway just part exed my 2006 they gave me £1100 with 120k on it so id have thought you could pick one up on your budget.

I think im steering towards the combo seen a few decent condition ones. Anything is going to be better than pulling up to a customers house and getting my tools out of the mrs's peugeot 107 :smilielol5:cheers guys.

Do you guys still drive around in those 3 wheeler vans?

Can't think of the make / model, but just interested to know.
