Fitting a PCB to a Remeha avanta plus 28c

I have replaced the faulty control pcb on my Remeha Avanta 28c (the contacts on 7-8 of term block x9 were welded perm on resulting in CH been perm on), on start up it completes its pre checks ok and then goes into standby waiting to be activated. Then wont do anything beyond this point! I've linked out the stat connection but still nothing, old board is now back on so CH is perm on. I was thinking the new board must be defective but then read online that the new board may require configuring to the boiler. Can anyone confirm if this is true and if so how to do it? Any help would be muchly appreciated!

This plumbing forum will not provide advice to anybody with regards to boiler repairs or any other form of gas plumbing without you first providing us with your Gas Safe Registration number in a thread - for very obvious reasons. If you're not qualified to touch gas, you should stay well clear of trying to!
