Fitting of a control PCB onto a Remeha Avanta 28c

I have replaced the faulty pcb on a Remeha Avanta Plus 28c, the old board had burnt and welded the therm stat contacts perm on so CH was perm on. With new board fit, on power up it successfully completes its pre checks with no error codes then falls into standby awaiting command. Then wont kick in from this point even with stat connections linked out. I have now refit the old pcb which runs permanently, switching off at the spur. I was thinking the new board was defective but have read somewhere that the new board may need configuring to the boiler. Does anyone know if this true and if so how to do it? Any help would be muchly appreciated!

This plumbing forum will not provide advice to anybody with regards to boiler repairs or any other form of gas plumbing without you first providing us with your Gas Safe Registration number in a thread - for very obvious reasons. If you're not qualified to touch gas, you should stay well clear of trying to!
